Dry Embossing

I made this for the challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs:http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.com/2012/01/cheery-lynn-designs-challenge-12-dry.html They have some really nice embossing plates but I didn't have time to order one for the challenge so I made my own using their Exotic Butterflies Small to make my own. Two pieces of thin chipboard is the perfect height for the plate so I cut two of each butterfly and glued together before placing on the plate. The larger butterfly is their Exotic Butterflies Small #2 I Love how each set comes with 3 different butterflies. It was hard to capture the embossing so I scanned them in but the scan does not show the true colors so sharing the photo too. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamped Heart Necklace

I stamped the heart using Hero Arts CL151 Clear Designs Share Laughter set and Color Box chalk ink, Then I blanket stitched around it. Flowers are Prima. Ribbon is Offray. Flock Together...The three little birds were in a little bag of beads Momma brought back from Arizona. I miss her so much :( I wanted to do something special with them so made this necklace. For Hero Arts Oct Contest. Based on one of their sketches. I stamped the birds 3 times, cut them out and, added rhinestones for their eyes. I made the matching button with Epiphany Crafts Button Studio. Paper is Basic Grey. Trim is Chatter Box. Thanks for looking.

Flower Choker and Gift Box

For May Arts A Happy Accident Craft Challenge.

The crochet ribbon is perfect for the choker, just add ribbon crimps to the ends, jump rings, and a lobster claw.

To Make the flowers cut 6 pieces of ribbon, round and seal the edges, do a running stitch at the bottom and gather tightly.

For the end of the extension I painted the butterfly, added dots, and a tiny eyelet.

For the center of one flower I painted a vintage setting from Epiphany Crafts and added an Epoxy Bubble from their Shape Studio. On the other one I did a Korker ribbon for the center.

For the butterfly on the box I painted white dots and used wire to make an antennae.

Another quick and easy project! I used Glue Dots,owl charm, jump ring, paper from Kaiser Craft, Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio, EC Charm Settings, and EC Ring. I put the cute little owl image in the Shape Studio, topped with a bubble cap, closed the cap and pressed to make the epoxy in the center of the charm setting. I used Glue Dots to place the setting on the ring base and dangled an owl charm from the Charm Setting. Love how cute it turned out!

I used Best Creations Robot papers for this fun set!

Tote Bag: I enclosed the paper between two pieces of vinyl to protect it. Then I sewed it onto the front of the bag making the cutest pocket ever! I used Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio Round 25 to make a cute charm for it.

Tic-Tac-Toe Game: I recycled an Icebreaker Mint tin, on the back I stitched the grid, on the front I used glitter stickers! I put pop dots on a couple for dimension. I made the playing pieces with Robot paper and Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio 14.

Gift Tin with Clip. I recycled a little mint tin, for the front I cut out the cute little Robot Dog and added letter stickers. For the clip I placed a Robot sticker in the bottle cap, covered it with Diamond Glaze, allowed it to dry, then punched a hole with Crop-a-dile, and attached it to the clip.

I love the large selection of Cheery Lynn Designs dies! Also love the fact that they are thin so you don't need much space to store them. Even though they are thin they still cut through a variety of material. Here I used the Sweet Williams die to cut through
Tin: I recycled a coke can to make a necklace. I just used a knife to cut a large piece out of the can then washed it before cutting.

Cloth: I ironed Wonder Under to the back before cutting.

Corrugated Cardboard: I peeled off the outer layer of cardboard before cutting.

Wish I was there!! Here are a couple projects of mine that will be there with Epiphany Crafts :) I love the tools and how easy they are to use! For the sentiment I stamped "I" and "U" then used the round shape studio to turn them into epoxies. In the center I used the heart button studio for "love" It is so cool being able to make buttons that match perfectly! I thought this totebag needed a pocket and a splash of fun colors added to it so I fixed it up for the Back to the Beach Challenge at May Arts. I covered the handles with May Arts Ribbon KB22 1.5" SOLID/CHECK. For the little sailboat I used: RR28 1.5" - SOLID/PRINT/WIRED, KB22 1.5" SOLID/CHECK, and 334-14 SOLID OMBRE/PICOT EDGE. It is easy to make your own sentiment with small letter stamps and Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio. Glue Arts is the perfect adhesive to hold it all together! Here I stamped the word hi on some gear paper from The Paper Studio, attached it to a word disc charm, then put it on my card with a little safety pin. I used Glue Arts U Cut It on the robots to give them dimension. The robots were so cute I decided to make a couple necklaces too! I used May Arts ribbons QK46 3/4" SHEER/DAISY EDGE and 387-18-66 1/8" SOLID/CENTER STITCHES for the choker. Cut 13” from each ribbon, use ribbon glue to glue the thin ribbon to the center of the daisy ribbon, crimp the ribbon ends to the end, add a lobster claw and extension chain. I added a butterfly charm to the bottom of the extension. Follow these directions to make two flowers to layer, add a button to the center, I used Epiphany Crafts Button Studio on mine, then sew the embellished flower onto the choker.

I used May Arts Ribbon XJ46 3/8" - GROSGRAIN / CIRCLE and 387-18-66 1/8" SOLID/CENTER STITCHES, the 3/8" I cut 6 @ 3/4" and rounded the edges, for the 1/8" I cut 8 @ 1/2' and cut one end into a point before sewing together. I layered two pieces of Bazzill Cardstock on top of the box, added the paper with the bird and clouds from DCWV The Green Stack cut the flower steams from the same stack, and topped them with the ribbon flowers I made. I added a button to the center of one and a brad to the other. The grass was cut with cricut. I ran May Arts XJ46 3/8" - GROSGRAIN / CIRCLES around the lid of the box. Thanks for stopping by!

I have always wanted to try it so when I asked what all I needed not only did the gals at acharmingplace tell me what I needed Christine sent me everything I needed to try it. Thanks again!! Here are my first two pieces..messy and the poor solder iron....what in the world did I do to kill the tip??? Sorry I didn’t take better care of my wonderful gift Christine, guess I will be looking for more pointers. I was able to make a couple more pieces tonight that I will photograph tomorrow and share. I have a few other pieces in the works but they will have to wait until I get a new tip, this one is too rough to smooth the solder now . The Iron only hit the floor twice, Joseph said he was going to make me a net, he is such a good little helper. On the square piece I cut up a snowflake charm to sandwich between the glass. The round one is an epoxy bubble from Epiphany Crafts I thought the heat might melt it but it didn’t!!. Thanks for stopping by!

When I found out the monthly challenge at Imaginisce was to alter something I knew I wanted to make another Tic-Tac-Toe tin from an Ice Breakers mint tin. The Imaginisce papers fit perfectly in Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio for the playing pieces. On the front of the tin I paper pieced a giraffe using the stamp from the Baby Powder Collection, I added floss for the mane, and seed beads for the eyes. I know I have already said it but...The Vintage Settings are so colorful and fun!!! Love LOVE love them!!!! When I got my package I couldn't wait to use them so I decided to do the Now and Then challenge at A Charming Place I placed a Vintage Setting with a charm tied to it on the corner of my photo and also used one of the new felt flowers. Always in our Hearts

This was our first Christmas without either of our parents. Miss them sooooo much. Daddy always shot down mistletoe and Momma was always sewing anything you could ask for..without a pattern. They were so special. I wanted to make my sisters something special since this is a hard time for everyone. So I gave them a choice between the angel or necklace with the choice of two frames. For the necklace I cut hearts with Nestability dies from my Mom’s jeans and Dad’s Shirt, dangled the two together with jump rings and added a tiny frame with a photo of them… because they will always be in our hearts. They loved them :)

I found this really cute owl stamp at Michales for just $1! Also the cute orange bird cage that you can kind of see in the corner was $1! I couldn't wait to use the stamp so I made a few cards and for his tummy I used the Button Studio from Epiphany Crafts and added wiggly eyes, love how cute he turned out.

I can not get enough of the Epiphany Crafts epoxies...nice, thick, and oh so shiny!!!They are so much fun to play with I decided to make another tic-tac-toe game :) The fun papers are Heidi Grace-Regan's Closet. I used the Button Studio to make the center of the flowers. Love how easy it is to make matching embellishments!

How to make Epoxy Charms

These are quick, easy, and oh so cute!!!! First you need to find some patterned paper with small images or you could also use small rubber stamps. I used a little of both. Rubons, doodling, or small stickers would work too!
Put the image in the Shape Studio Tool from Epiphany Crafts, top with a bubble cap, put the spacer in, close the lid and press, then remove..so easy to use!
Last just use strong glue dots to put it on a disc charm.

Always a sentiment you can use! There is an online crop atFiskateersthis weekend. One of the challenges was to use the colors Turquoise & Brown. I can't distinguish red from orange, purple from black so I am wondering if this paper is really the color I need when I remember I have some natural turquoise beads so I pulled them out and it matched perfectly! For the sentiment I stamped hi and used the shape studio to make a cute charm.

Here is the finsihed project using the three charms! The birdcage stamp is from Basic Grey. I found the little birdie at Hobby Lobby with the doll house minatures :)

Embossed Charms

One of the challenges this month at ACP is to emboss and use 3 charms. Leah has detailed instructions here: Challenge #2. Basically you smash your charm into ink and pour embossing powder over it :) I did that with my butterfly. I wanted the bird to be different colors so I used an embossing pen on him and did each color separately. On the nest I only embossed the eggs. It was fun! I will get a photo of my finished project hopefully tomorrow.

Skulls!

David's favorite shirts all have skulls on them! He was very happy when we found a pair of jeans with skulls on them too :)

On my layout I wanted the heart button to be soild gray but didn't want to punch a hole in another sheet of paper for just one button so I figured out where I wanted to put the pictures then used a craft knife to cut out a small square. Being small I needed a way to get it in and out of the Button Studio Tool so I taped it to a small strip of paper..worked like a charm!!! And speaking of charms I made a super cute one with the Shape Studio Tool and placed it on round word charm from ACP.

Butterflies!

More altered Scrabble Tiles for a swap. I used paper from a Basic Grey ambrosia 6x6 paper pad, the butterflies fit perfect on the tile!!! I slightly colored a Silver Plated Large Filigree Butterfly Wings Charm leaving specks of silver showing for a really cool look, layered it over the paper, and dangled a word charm off each one.

Altered Scrabble Tiles

I did these for a swap. I used blue alcohol inks on the tiles, stamped the bird image, colored it, then sealed it with diamond glaze and added a charm. Looking at the picture I need to tighten a couple eye screws but I am sure they will break off!!!

Poor Chris, such a great guy really deserved a better day than he had :)
I made him this cute card!

Joseph made him one of his special dishes!!! Doesn't that look so yummy!!!??? I'm sure you really want the recipe just add: cashews,shredded lettuce, corn chips, marsh mellows, maple syrup, and don't forget the gum!!!

He loves the turkey and dressing special from Cracker Barrel so we had that then we went to Old Navy to see if they had any of the jeans still on sale...that is when it all started as we walked through the door he mumbled," Happy Freaking Birthday! " GEE I know he doesn't like shopping but this should have taken maybe 10 minutes, so he jinxed himself if you ask me :) No cheap jeans in size 14 but David did get a really cool pair with a skull on the pocket. Then it was off to Wal-Mart in hopes of upgrading his cell phone and cupcakes. $200 early upgrade fee...no thank you!!!! So we got the cupcakes and ran. He thought he'd go check out the Net Books at Best Buy...they ran too slow so the poor guy didn't get anything for his birthday.....but these lovely cupcakes....

Wish I could slow it down! I am in a time theme swap at acharmingplace. These are my cards and the box I made to keep the ones I get back in. Look at how the litttle clock face stands out! That is an epoxy bubble from Epiphany Crafts right out of the package :) it fit over the image just perfectly. Love it!!!

I went to visit my friendMeg's Blog and landed in the middle of a blog hop...so I decided to join in on the fun. The ladies were making cards for Bella and Monique. Here are the ones I made. I thought the groovy paper would be perfect for a little girl who needed a smile..I added two charms to it and stickers for her name. Monique has cancer so her card is pink...they are both in my thoughts and prayers.

I turned an ice breaker tin into a fun tic-tac-toe game! The paper and rubber stamp is from Imaginisce- Wild Thing. I stamped the lion twice, cut the head out, and glued thread to the back for a cute mane. On the back I stitched the game grid. The adorable game pieces are expoxy bubbles fromEpiphany Crafts!! I love LOVE love how cute they turned out! Their new tools make it so easy to create matching embellishments or in the case game pieces :) Oh so much fun!!!!

Today I got to play with my new toys :) LOVE them!!!!!! The layout was on my desk so I decided to add a little epoxy bubble (it is the one that looks like the earth in the center of the white flower)and button from Epiphany Craftsto it! The little mini album I also used a bubble and made it charming for the July challenge at ACP.

I got a package from Epiphany Crafts today!!! Fun FUN fun!!! The epoxy is nice and thick and the buttons so cool! I really wanted to dig in and so did my little helper so I let him. The tool was really easy to use. You just slide the paper in, place the epoxy through the hole, put the spacer in, close the lid and press! The tool punches the paper and adheres it to the epoxy all in just one push. LOVE it!!!!! He wanted to try the heart, it fit over the kitty words perfectly, then he just added it to the front of his cat book!

One of my favorite things about summer is watermelon and who doesn't like a midnight snack??? I thought it would be cool to take it outside. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea!? A bug landed on his so he smashed it, looked at me and asked, "did you bite that?", when I said no he happily took my watermelon and said I could have his??? When I was a kid daddy tossed them into the creek to cool them off..I remember the first one I was sure that would be the end of it but...it floated. It was so much fun! I wonder if he will remember Watermelon at midnight...and bugs!

I love kites they are so colorful and fun! Joseph had a lot of fun trying to fly this one, I'd hold it while he ran and let go when the string was taunt, as long as he ran it flew :) We even got it up high enough to get caught in a tree! Fun times!!!! I made this quick and easy card for a challenge at acharmingplace.com using one of my favorite charms...isn't that a cute kite!!!??? And now for the happy news.....I made the design team for http://www.epiphanycrafts.com/about-us/ I love LOVE love buttons and epoxy so this is going to be fun! Should get my box of fun tools in July..can't wait!!!

I just had to buy the beads I linked to in my last post. LOVE them!!! Click on the photo to see them larger!! I emailed first to make sure it would be OK to make things to sell with them..glad I did because she told me they were small..and they are! However, she offered to make me 1 inch beads for $1.50 a piece.... I am cheap and normally would say noooooooooooo way but these were just too cool to pass up so I went for it. Got large and small...the cute jacket and jeans are from A Charming place.
