I told FIL I would get his glass back to him later, looks like that will not be happening! I have no idea what happened, maybe the wind?? A bird?? or maybe even the neighbor mowing..his mower was tossing rocks this way like crazy?? whatever it was I won't be returning it after all!

Roses

FIL brought this from his garden today! Kids have been getting into his garden so he wanted to do something with them before they got them. They are so pretty! I was trying to get a nice picture of them when spider mites started scurrying all over the place so I had to run them out real quick. Hair cut!

The conversation went something like this:

(he begged to do this Wednesday night and I finally said he could but NOT until Friday after school so if he totally butchered it we could go get it fixed this weekend. I am happy to say he didn't do too bad!! He wanted to do the back too but it really wasn't very long so I told him NO!

Yay! A single leaf..hope that all will be well! This is our pretty little maple tree, it lost all of it's new growth in the late freeze and now it has a few leaves coming out! Not the best photo but it is too late to take another shot

Not the best shot but there is the sun!! It rained all night and most of the day so I couldn't believe it when I looked out and saw it shining...after all it was still pouring down so I went searching for rainbows. Is all I got was wet but FT had a little more fun in the rain!! I didn't get any shots of him..had to try to keep the camera dry...this shot was taken from the carport.

Honey chases cars so when the gate is open she has to go to her pen so we put the tarp up for added shade.

Nobody's Home

Poor thing! Not exactly how I found this empty shell, it was upside down. I hope the turtle had a nice long life, lots of cool water, and at least one fresh ripe tomato off of someone's vine.

I had to go to Wal-Mart and while I was there poor FT cried and said, "my mommy is gone." How sad/sweet is that?

A cute bunny was by the water garden drinking so I went out to try to get a shot of him. He ran away and this squirrel ran up the tree so I had to settle for a picture of it.

The boy and the box that made me mad......

He tells me he needs a box for a science project, he wasn't happy with the Dora shoe box I offered him (hey he was going to paint it) so he decided to find his own box. Ugggg he climbed up in the top of his closet and combined two different boxes so he could have one. I put it all in the one that said David...so now the box that had brother's name on it is empty and painted blue. Was this bib in your box or his..."I DON'T KNOW." Oh my gosh how can he not know?????? He just dumped it not even 5 minutes ago. So now I have to try to remember which baby stuff belongs to who.

How to shave your legs

I got my battery charged and I love what I uploaded...notice the shaving cream can and the tongue..talk about concentration!

It was a long day..not much sleep last night.... no nap today and the little dude is still going strong! Not sure what my photo of the day will be...my camera battery just died so I will have to upload them tomorrow to find out. It might be dish soap all over the place or FT shaving his legs!!??? Can't wait to show DH those...shaving cream and the window squeegee. And no photo but my 5th grader is on the quiz bowl!! Wish his team luck in May!!

I found my smile! I have been looking for one every school morning since Sal found hers http://www.acharmingplace.net/forums/showthread.php?t=9181&highlight=pepper (I am sad that her attachment no longer shows up-I wanted to compare them) Anyway, I finally found one so that is my photo of the day!! One of my boys is a vegetarian so everyday I cut up a bell pepper for him and it has taken this long to finally find a smile. His lunch always has..bell peppers, carrots, two trail mix bars, grapes, PB&J uncrustable, and a water. Poor kid does get tired of the same thing, after Easter he had an egg in there so he was thrilled to have something different. I guess I really need to find some recipes for him.

The dogwood tree again!

All the blooms that I could reach are gone so I was looking up and decided to try a shot from the bottom..I think it turned out pretty cool!

I took 77 photos today...somebody was making their own mud hole and having a wonderful time! I took a shot of his tool with my shadow and one without and liked this one the best!

Most of the dogwood blooms are gone but this one was still hanging on so I decided to try to get a nice shot of it. Happy with how it turned out!

Awesome Little Helper

It was a misty cool Saturday. DH was trying to fix an antenna, this was his little helper every step of the way! Poor guy spent half the day trying to fix it and in the end when he went to tighten a screw the thing broke..beyond repair. I spent my day printing out pictures from our trip to Mt Magazine(fun FUN fun memories!!), maybe tomorrow I will get to actually scrap.

My day in a nutshell....I could have had a nice picture today but I forgot the camera!!! I just remembered the shot I wish I had captured and am smiling again!!!! I took FIL home after some routine test and on my way out there was an old man collecting money for "White Cane Day" Help the blind....it is just one of those things you would have to see to understand..old, vest, silly hat, lots of wrinkles, rain falling on his head and a HUGE smile on his face. Really made my day!!! I smiled half the way home. Sadly I didn't have any money with me..ran off and left it with my camera...but I would have happily gave him whatever I had! Back to my photo of the day...I am really getting tired of this!!! I use to buy TP once a month (Angel Soft 12 double rolls) now I need to buy it almost every week. Tonight DH is bringing home Fish Net and then if all goes well I am going to SCRAP!!!

Candy!

Yay my shot of the day is a happy smile!!!! It is hard to capture a smile from him..most of the ones I have he is smiling at the dog. Well, I found out today that an envelope of candy will work too!!! They had a kids crop at Scrap-A-Latte and this was his reward! When they announced it I didn't think he would be able to play but it was coloring and finger printing and fun things like that. It is a nice sunny day today! For my photo of the day I took my camera out while I chased FT all over the yard and came across the cheerful little flower..OK so it is a dandelion flower but isn't it a happy little thing!!?? The other photo DS wanted to know if he could take the camera out..the wind is blowing the water out of the trees and it looks really neat, can I see if I can get a picture of it!!?? And look at the bunny hopping away! I always have fun uploading the ones he takes...just like digging through a treasure chest, never sure what gem will turn up next.

It is a rainy day! I took the two of the boys through the window with droplets of water on it..I think it looks kind of cool. He is waving at his brother who is in major trouble for swinging in the rain. I told him to get in the van..but I ALWAYS swing...not today FT is sick and wants to too..well, he just went anyway. I wish he would listen to me.....

My picture for today is a boring one...CDs!!! I just learned how to back up my photos!! DH has been doing it and I kept telling him to show me how..it is just easier for me to do it, he would always tell me. FINE!! If only he would do it when I wanted that would be great. Well, after a few months he finally was going to do it for me but when I told him how many he showed me how! It is just way too easy. So that is why I took a shot of them for my photo of the day.

Easter

It was a long day but it was a good one! Two of the boys are still going strong on all that sugar....I guess I should have filled myself a basket full too so I could keep up. This was the first year my little guy dyed eggs so that was a lot of fun!! Hope you had a happy one!!

See the cool stump!!??? That is my picture...I sat out in the cold under a tree just waiting for the woodpecker to come...he has been coming around for a few days. I got too cold, gave up and came in. Later I peeked out the window and there he was!! I couldn't get outside alone so I sent one of the boys out and this is what he came back with! Not bad for it being on full zoom without a tripod! He also filled the memory card up while he was out there and one of my favorites is the jet!

Our internet was down yesterday so here it is a day late:
This is another one of my sisters! She makes delicious burgers!! Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy for bringing my camera into the convenience store but hey I needed my photo of the day and I was meeting Mom and our visiting sister for lunch so why not capture us making the poor girl work for us??? BTW it was HER idea for us to come so I don't feel too guilty!

Pollen and ice cream!

Sandra shared her pollen and now here is mine! The boys had parent teacher conferences today so on the way home we stopped for ice-cream! The school is within a mile of our house and Sonic is right by it so we picked it up on our way home. I had to make two trips... The first trip was not much fun..the freaking toddler was running wild!! He was awesome he sat on the bench waiting for big brothers to get out so I could rush them home and hopefully make it back in time for my 1st appointment, well as soon as he saw them he ran...real fast! We did make it back in time! He walked nicely to the room but then on the way out he decided to try to run down the hallway. I might have to get a leash for that boy!! The big boys had to go with us because they were going over their classes for next year, should be a good year! Our 5th grader has all A's, the two in 10th have A's and B's!!!

Today I met my Mom and one of my sisters at Dixie Cafe for lunch! So they are my photo of the day..mom is not very photogenic..we always laugh at the faces she makes...so this is just a "normal" photo not her looking all mad because she didn't get to go to Sizzlin! She had her DR appointment today and we were mean and didn't let her eat where she wanted to. My sister calls me while she is in with the DR....

Her: Do you think she will tell us were she wants to eat at?

Me: Yes, she will! Anytime I take her she wants Western Sizzlin

Her: Well, we HAD to eat there the other day so maybe she won't make us go there again.

Me: Oh good!! (really I have no idea why she loves it so much..it really isn't that great)

Her: I really like Cracker Barrel or maybe Dixie.

Me: well, since you really like Cracker Barrel we will go there....

Second call Mom is out....

Her: She really wants to go to Sizzlin

Me: but you guys were just there the other day and you really wanted Cracker Barrel

Her: she doesn't like Cracker Barrel

Me: Really!!?? then we will go to Dixie.

Her: I don't know she really wants Sizzlin AGAIN

Me: Well, if we go there we can not go to Hobby Lobby. (They are on opposite sides of town and I had to be back in time to get the boys from school)

so we went to Dixie!! Oh a good note the chicken livers were the special of the day and she loves those so we didn't do too bad!

We had fun at Hobby Lobby (hey I just realized that is where I should have taken my photo of the day at...Oh well) I spent $4..2 trays of water colors for the Easter baskets, beading needles, and a KitKat for the little dude.

I took a dozen pictures of this little guy but in most of them I can't even find it! This is the best one!! The one where I could see what it was that I was chasing all over the azalea bush! I really wasn't sure what it was but I was fascinated by it.. it might seem strange but I love little critters. At first I thought it might be a humming bird, its wings were moving so fast but I was able to get close enough to know that wasn't it. Looks like a moth!

We have a birthday boy today! He helped me bake a cake..yummy batter! He just turned 3 so we ended up with a few egg shells in there too, I thought I found them all but no such luck...I ended up with one in my spoon full. Cake is OK but I would rather have batter any day, so I thought I would take a shot for today's photo. I used the macro setting without a flash.

365 photos!

xerxia at www.acharmingplace.com has issued a challenge...one photo a day for 365 days. I love taking photos so I should be able to handle that! Now to keep my blog up to date...I am not so sure about that one!

Today's photo is of my happy little place. See that cool black wire mesh paper organizer!!!?? I just bought that today! I went to Wal-Mart in hopes of finding some GeoTrax tracks for my little dude's birthday tomorrow and came across it! I splurged on myself!!! Something I rarely do and I don't even feel guilty!! I love it and I have been looking for something like this for awhile so I am happy! However, on a sad note I did not find anything for the birthday boy plus while I was away he scrapped his knee...poor thing! We do have another engine for him but he doesn't have enough track for it to run on so at least he will have a gift!
