Hope you had a Merry Christmas!

We did! The boys each got a wii game and some other fun goodies. I got a jar of Jelly Beans!! I asked for those for my birthday..didn't happen. So I figured I would get them and sure enough FT came to me after DH wrapped my gifts and asked me if I wanted some then said Dad should NOT have wrapped them...so funny!! I also got a big basket with cute mugs, cookies..ect. and bath goodies. DH got a PC game, bluetooh headset, shirt and jeans. Everyone was happy!

Bad blogger Bad mommy!?

A friend wanted to see updated pictures of the boys so I though I'd just send her to my blog when I realized I never updated with the last birthday boy. Three fall babies, his was in November. 17 years!!! And such an awesome amazing kid. He is so good sometimes I am afraid that he will sprout angel wings and fly away. Just as an example one Christmas he give all his Christmas Money to the Salvation Army. His little brother wrapped his gift and sadly I burnt his cupcakes.....Daniel, I hope all your wishes come true!!!

a new home...

I bought a pack of clear envelopes, drug out my sewing machine to stitch down the center, and cut off the sticky strip...I did leave an overhang to make it easier to slip the cards in and out. I have 3 envelopes between the cardstock pages.


I like the cute birdhouse stickers..so glad to put them to use! Here the book is in action:

I stuck the propeller on the tag and asked my son to draw me a biplane..Love it!! I also plan to stick oversized cards behind it.

and back. I don't think I would want to stay long! I made these four to trade at acharmingplace. The miss me one..is because I am bummed that they are in Washington right now having fun and here I sit miles away. Oh well, maybe next year! Just playing

with the gel pens DH gave me for our anniversary...wasn't that sweet!!! The dragon is a stained glass pattern I thought his crystal ball looked a little weird just jutting out there so I added claws to it too. My "crystal ball" is a wiggly eye covered in glitter. Another ATC challenge at ACP...but it didn't go the way it was supposed to. The glitter was to be inside...but I love it just the same.

Angels and....

PMS??? So my ATC addiction is still going strong! I was so happy when ACP made a forum just for ATCs!!!!! Then they decided to do challenges..just for fun, no prizes. Most of the challenges have been "normal" I made the angels for a textured background challenge....but this week it is PMS!!!?? I thought to myself....NO WAY but hey I not only love ATCs but I love a good challenge...and the more challenging the happier I am so off I went to the bathroom cabinet!!!?? Pulled out my always with wings and carefree liners, cut out my words, and ran the little plastic cover through my Cuttlebug. Well, I doubt you really want to run and do that but just in case you do....the plastic will not cut very well so sandwich it between two sheets of paper and then carefully punch out.

All about Lunch

or lack of....this my friends is a mindless blog post but I am annoyed so I'll share...
I fix the kid lunch you would think he could pick it up on his way out but nooooooooo, I take them to school and come home to a lunchbox sitting in the floor. Hmmmmmmm do I rush it back up there!? I feel like I should but I don't really feel like dragging the toddler out again plus just maybe this will teach him to be a little more responsible!!!??? But really I can't stand the thought of my kid being hungry so I hope that DH will get home early enough to run it to him...and he does!!! Yippee Yay, he calls the school to confirm what time his lunch is...they have 20 whole minutes to get this to him before lunch even starts!! The secretary emails his teacher!!?? Isn't technology great..well, it would be if she checked her email in time. So there his lunchbox set...all through lunch....and during last period they call him over the intercom to come get his lunchbox. Oh yeah, isn't that great, why didn't they do that to begin with!!!?? His best buddy gave him a cheese stick so he wouldn't starve.

You are the gift

that made all my dreams come true. I received my prize for winning 2nd place in the BoBunny contest!! They sent me the believe line of Christmas paper, rub-ons, ribbons and brads! I could not wait to use this sheet of paper!!! This is a photo from '04 but I thought it would be perfect for it. I cut the swirls with the Cricut, added flowers, and the cool brads were the ones in my prize package. It was soooooooo much fun!!!

Boo to you

I made it in the top five at Coconut Scrapbooking's Fall Frenzy and here is my final entry. We had to make a shaped card with...(1) Paint Technique I used a combing technique on the pumpkin, first I painted it dark oragne, after it dried I mixed the same orange paint with white to make it a lighter shade and painted over it, while the paint was still wet I drug a comb through it to expose some of the first layer of paint...so it looks like a real pumpkin!
(2) Buttons-I used them for eyes
(3) Felt-I used for a nose
(4) Rub-On- the word boo is a rubon and the little spray of dots on the tag is also a rubon from American crafts
(5) Ribbon-offray around his neck
(6) Sticker-the ghost is Studio Basic 101and the small Jack-O-Lantern is Jolee's
(7) Chipboard-I used a circle and oval to make my pumpkin.

Helicopter!!

FT likes to draw and most of the time I tell him how awesome his_______ is but I never see what he sees...well, this time I see it! A Helicopter!!! I see the rotors both top and tail...if you look closely you will also see a good guy flying it..with hair! I just LOVE it!

OK so really I made it for a fall challenge at coconut scrapbooking but thought I should post something besides an ATC..which I happily made 3 more today!!!?? Oh and happy news...remember my Noah gift tin a few post down...it won 2nd place at BoBunny. So happy!!

Halloween

oh boy the year is flying by..it is almost time!? I made these for a swap. Based on a paint pattern by (I'll add the artist tomorrow) that I turned into a paper piecing and I added the leaf charm. Hope they like them!!

Heaven shall Behold

beauty..another artist trading card! The base is Scenic Route paper (LOVE it..it was a "scrap" piece that Hayley wrapped the last card she sent my way in so I had to do something with it!) I put diamond glaze over heaven and Behold that was on the paper and wrote beauty. The butterfly is a Cuttlebug cut and emboss...my very first one and I LOVE it!!! I put black ink on the raised part of the embossing folder before I ran it through the cuttlebug machine, then I dangled a charm off of it. Added a few buttons to my flower and I am happy with the end results!

And movie night was a blast!! Lots of fun and laughs!! We started watching The Bucket List until the disk came up with an error so we watched August Rush..it was good! In case you don't know I have 5 sisters..one had to work and another didn't come (no surprise there) but it was nice.

I am waiting on my sister to come pick me up for movie night!!! I am so excited and can not wait. My mom and all six of her girls should be there!! I have no idea what they rented..just looking forward to being with them all. So I thought I'd update my blog while I wait....

Tennis!

This was the first match of the season and they won (the boy in black is mine)!! Here his tennis racket is doing double duty as a table while he snacks on nuggets from Sonic.
I am so happy they won!!!

IKE

was still pretty strong as he blew through AR. No power, no school, and a little bit of damage. I was also bummed he made me miss a PJ party. I feel so sad for those who are now without homes.

On the Wings of Love

you will fly, (I wrote that with a gel pen)
forever for always and endlessly;forever now. (is a sticker) I believe it is true!! Love is the best thing in the world! I made this ATC to trade but now I am thinking of tucking it away for myself. I used wings from ACP and the black butterflies are BasicGrey rubons.
